Saudi partnership

Uncategorized No Comments

What a fantastic week in the KSA (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia). We have formed a formidable partnership with KAFAAT Energy, which is a leading light in KSA to deliver the EnergyAce energy saving system to reduce energy spend and lessen demand on the electrical infrastructure by up to 50% in some cases. Thanks very much to Bashar and his team for making us all so welcome and we all look forward to a very positive future together.

Half year Jump

Uncategorized No Comments

With the Olympics coming up fast on the horizon, we thought fit to use the analogy of a trained athlete. There’s no hop and skip associated with this performance just a straight, faultless jump as the outcome. The ‘jump’, refers to the half year sales just posted by Skelmersdale based, EnergyAce.

With all the negativity surrounding Brexit, based on employers not knowing what the future might hold, pure positivity surrounds the increase in turnover of this regional-electrical engineer. This promises to be a record year in its trading history.

EnergyAce is a solutions provider to the energy efficiency market. It manufactures energy saving systems in the form of Power Factor Correction (PFC) and Voltage Management Systems (VMS – Voltage Optimisation), in conjunction with its own patented technology to control and improve overall electrical efficiency, reduce carbon emissions and reduce electricity spend by up to 20%.

Managing Director, Gary Vizard comments: “There is no singular reason that the growth has resulted. It’s a reflection of the hard work and graft of our loyal team, combined with taking advantage of market opportunities both at home and overseas. I have to say the results are on schedule for where we predicted, but needless to say we are jumping with joy”.

EnergyAce is a trading name of Power Efficient Systems Limited that has been trading since 2002. The first six month has shown collaboration and ventures in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. More agents and distributors are coming from the European Community. And the innovation and launch, by this family business, of the EnergyAce Compact range – a domestic and light commercial product that works in all residential households and small businesses – has meant more enquiries and penetration of new markets. Needless to say, the implications are that there is a need for more, quality staff and electrician(s) are now being sought. Have demo will travel

There’s absolutely no substitute for proving immediately, in-situ, the potential savings from our EnergyAce solutions.

As part of the launch of the EnergyAce Compact range, Mick Greensmith, National Sales and Marketing Manager, is showing innovative practices and presentations to ensure that the domestic unit remains the front runner in the market. To that end, we can illustrate measurements and readings in any building with the 2 demo flight cases pictured here.

The purpose of these is to demonstrate a working compact Voltage Optimisation (VO) system. The demo case can be powered up either in bypass or with a 25volt reduction and the second case is used as a load bank incorporating a heater, fan and selection of lighting types to show the potential savings.

Middle East PR

Uncategorized No Comments

It is always nice when we spot publicity and commentary from third parties, independent of our Company. One such example by our Adviser, John Holmes is here:

John recently brokered a successful deal between a UK-based company, PES (EnergyAce) Ltd, and a major domestic energy supplier in Saudi Arabia, Kafa’at Energy. He comments on how this is an example of successfully tapping into a local market by identifying a set of needs against a background of changing domestic policy.

“There is a growing drive for energy efficiency in the Middle East”, John explains. “The current levels of locally subsidised energy use are unsustainable, so there are opportunities for suppliers of energy efficient technology. This was just such an opportunity for PES”.

The lesson is about knowing how the needs of the market sit in a wider context. In this case, the power sector across the Middle East faces energy efficiency challenges against a background of diminishing oil revenues and the increasing demands for electricity from growing populations and a still-developing industrial base.

“The PES deal has its origins in a robust business model”, John concludes. “The strategy underpinning it has been sound and the energy efficiency market across the Middle East now has real potential. People need to prioritise markets in terms of products and a good understanding of both local demand and the potential for reciprocal trade relationships.”

Katie powers forward in engineering

Uncategorized No Comments

As a young female in engineering, Katie Garner stands out from the crowd.

Katie, 16, has been with Skelmersdale-based Power Efficient Systems Ltd (trading as EnergyAce) since September 2015, completing a Level 2 Engineering Apprenticeship.

Established in 2002, the company is a manufacturer and supplier of innovative energy saving systems and is experiencing a high level of growth, with employee numbers increasing by over 200% since January 2015.

Director, Eileen Vizard, has been impressed by Katie’s ‘meticulous work’ and progression within the company: “In the short time that she’s been with us she has really impressed us. Her work is of a consistently high standard. The fact that she is female makes no difference, she has positively changed the dynamic of the business and has been welcomed by all of the team.”

“Katie is our third Apprentice; our first has been with us for 13 years and is now a Service Engineer working across the UK and overseas. Apprentices bring new potential into the business, they are aware of new technologies that enhance our offering, are keen to learn and we can train them from scratch.”

Katie, a former pupil of Lathom High School, explained why she chose an Engineering Apprenticeship: “My brother is an Engineer and he started as an Apprentice so it was something I had seen the success of first-hand. I know that there are a lot of opportunities in this field and I want to work and learn at the same time. I’m a practical learner and I’m learning much more on the job than by just being in a classroom environment. I’m aware there is a lack of female Engineers in the UK but that hasn’t held me back in pursuing a career in the industry, if anything it has made me more determined.”

‘Zero carbon’ laws on way

Uncategorized No Comments

Climate laws will be tightened to cut carbon emissions effectively to zero, the government has said.

Under current law, emissions must be cut by 80% by 2050 – but ministers have said this does not go far enough.

Following the climate deal in Paris, it is clear the UK must not increase CO2 at all because the warming threat is so severe, they added.

No details of the law change have been given – and critics said the UK was failing to meet even current targets.

The global climate agreement, which was finalised at a summit in Paris in December, commits to keeping global temperatures “well below” 2C (3.6F) above pre-industrial times and limit the amount of greenhouse gases emitted by human activity.

ESOS….NOW is the time to act

All large UK businesses are affected by the Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS) regulations.

As we have all discussed on a few occasions there are major deadline issues and significant penalty implications for non-compliance – at last count 9,000 businesses are currently non-compliant in the United Kingdom – and the number of ESOS assessors are unable to cope with the demand

If yours has been completed and Power Factor Correction or Voltage Optimisation has been specified in your ESOS report(s), please speak to EnergyAce NOW as we can guide you through the appropriate response and processes.
