Energy Saving in NHS Hospital

Energy saving and efficiency boosting are as important to the NHS and their hospitals as they are to any other building or company.
Leighton Hospital was a perfect example of the difference that Energy Ace’s services can have on hospitals.

Annual Savings Achieved

  • £15,066.00

  • Reduction in energy costs
  • Improved Efficiency
  • Removal of reactive power charges

Located in Crewe, Cheshire, Leighton Hospital forms part of the Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and was recently named one of the best in the country for the third year running.
The new facilities are state-of-the-art and comprise a theatre suite opened in 2014 as part of a £22.8 million project and the creation of a new Critical Care unit.
A major consideration throughout the modifications was the desire to improve efficiency and reduce energy which would be reflected in reduced electricity bills for many years to come.
After an initial survey and consultation, we introduced the EnergyAce energy saving system which encompassed new equipment and the modification and repairs of existing systems to keep costs to a minimum.
Installation was non obtrusive during normal working hours and without the need for any major changes in infrastructure.
Payback was less than two years although a reduction in maintenance costs and the protection of all electrical appliances, plant and machinery will improve the real payback considerably.
