Sad to hear the demise of SDC Industries of 23 Colvilles Rd, East Kilbride, Glasgow G75 0RS who have recently entered administration . SDC Industries, the manufacturer of the Varpac and Varmatic power factor correction systems, the Vario Static Varmatic voltage optimiser and the Vario Ultra Variable Varmatic voltage optimiser were especially strong in Scotland where EnergyAce have been operating since 2002. EnergyAce offer global support and have recently opened a new rapid response base in Hamilton operated by ex SDC engineers, assets were also purchased following administration of SDC to offer a relatively seamless continuation of service for all old SDC Industries customers. There will be many old customers of SDC Industries who will require ongoing support and maintenance…

With energy prices rising at an alarming rate, it is now even more important for businesses to ensure that any opportunities to save energy is thoroughly explored. One opportunity you may not be very familiar with is Voltage Management or Voltage Optimization. The theory behind voltage optimization is simple. There is a difference between the voltage supplied to a building and the voltage appliances are designed to operate at more efficiently. A few members of the EnergyAce team had the pleasure of meeting Freddie and Hughie on Saturday at the Wigan vs Blackpool match. These two absolute stars have raised over £220,000 for every oncology ward in the UK by running 1km around 100 football grounds after Hughie was diagnosed with Leukemia and Freddie vowed to help him thank his doctors and nurses.
